BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of professional experience
Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures
Experience with frameworks like React and React-Native
Knowledge of backend programming languages such as Java or Golang
Proven experience with software development practices, system design, software design patterns, and algorithms
Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)

Responsibilities

Build new experiences within Remitly native and web app to support businesses sending and receiving money
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including product/program managers and marketing, compliance and legal specialists
Guide the team's technical strategy while leading, shipping, and operating full-stack features and systems
Promote engineering excellence by delivering well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions, improving team processes, and contributing to cross-team technical designs
Enhance team talent through mentoring, code review, interviewing, and ramping new hires
