  • Required to ski or snowboard on snow and ice, up and down hill, while carrying equipment

  • Capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8-hour work shift
  • Capable of frequently balancing, climbing, reaching, and occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crawling
  • Capable of frequently carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs, and occasionally up to 100lbs
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision
  • For Entry Snowmaker: One year snowmaking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • For Experienced Snowmaker: Three years snowmaking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive knowledge of mountain operations
  • Preferred: Knowledge of mountain operations (Entry), Welding, Carpentry, Plumbing knowledge, First Aid/CPR Training

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains snowmaking system to create optimal skiing and snowboarding surface of man-made snow
  • For Experienced Snowmaker: Assists in training and development of entry and intermediate staff
  • For Experienced Snowmaker: Recommends adjustments to improve snow quality and efficiency
