Requirements

  • 3 months of work history with the same employer
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Class II power tow motor certification
  • Ability and willingness to read and comprehend all required daily paperwork, labels, and computer work
  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions and computer functions
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 40 pounds or greater frequently
  • Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 40 pounds or greater with back and legs
  • Ability and willingness to use both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees

Responsibilities

  • Transport racks on smokehouse racks to the drencher and to the smokehouse staging area
  • Lift a maximum of 40 pounds eye level and above, push 500-pound racks
  • Scale, transport, measure, and record information as required by Quality Control or management
  • Setup and remove various machines and clean out metal detectors
  • Remove full racks, scale, and enter information into the computer
  • Help empty inedible pans
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management
