Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field of Science, with preferred experience of at least 1 or 2 years in a laboratory setting. Knowledge of good laboratory practices and cGMP regulations is required, along with familiarity with laboratory documentation systems such as ELN and LIMS. Proficiency in analytical techniques including High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Autotitration is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Scientific Support Specialist will conduct chemical analyses for product stability studies, R&D and quality investigations using instruments like HPLC, GC, FTIR and Autotitrator, supporting testing for various parameters including Piroctone Olamine, Zinc Pyrithione, Menthol, Fatty Acids, Glycerine, Triclocarban (TCC) and Salicylic Acid. They will prepare samples, standards, buffers and mobile phases, document results in Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and the LIMS system (NEXUS), maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment, and ensure lab cleanliness while following safety protocols and customer site guidelines. The role also involves supporting investigations of quality events, serving as a point of contact for the customer, highlighting potential delays, and ensuring service team compliance with customer policies and documentation standards.
