Candidates must be based in the UK and possess knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Argo, Codefresh, or Github Actions. A solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles, including tools like Terraform, is required, along with knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus, and experience with AWS or another cloud provider are essential. Previous experience with support or OnCall is a plus. The ideal candidate demonstrates proactivity in learning and seeking help, possesses good communication and teamwork skills, and shows organization and attention to detail, with a commitment to deliverables and deadlines. Preferred qualifications include knowledge in Java or Golang programming languages.
The Site Reliability Engineer will support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automation under the guidance of experienced engineers. They will contribute to technical decisions by considering stability, reliability, monitoring, observability, and business needs, while focusing on continuous learning and development. Responsibilities include helping maintain platform resilience, adopting new technologies under supervision, and participating in relevant technical initiatives. This involves assisting in the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, creating and updating IaC scripts, collaborating on automating routine operational tasks, and supporting deployment, scaling, and maintenance processes. The role also entails contributing technically to team tasks, participating in documentation creation and post-mortems, following coding standards, and promoting CI/CD and automation best practices. Additionally, the engineer will actively seek guidance, participate in code reviews, support colleagues with technical questions, help avoid unplanned changes, and participate in problem-solving under supervision. They will also stay updated on technology trends, share learnings, and assist in executing Proofs of Concept for new technologies.
