Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a retail shop technician or similar role, demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills with outdoor gear and equipment, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications related to outdoor gear and equipment are preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
The Retail Shop Technician will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, and repairing outdoor gear and equipment, including bicycles, ski & snowboard equipment, watercraft, camping gear, and other outdoor equipment, performing quality assurance checks on products, assisting customers with technical support and product inquiries, providing support to sales associates, keeping the shop organized, working collaboratively with the team to meet sales goals, participating in ongoing training, assisting on the sales floor, assisting with store opening and closing, managing cash and credit card transactions, and performing daily cash reconciliation, as well as managing inventory and performing other duties as assigned by management.
