Requirements

Candidates must possess a college degree and at least one year of prior law library experience. Familiarity with ticketing intake systems, legal research resources such as Westlaw Find & Print, Lexis Get & Print, HeinOnline, Pacer, and CNS, as well as navigating state court websites is required. Strong accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills, computer proficiency in Word and Excel, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment, both independently and as part of a team, are essential. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, and experience with citation management tools and legal writing formats.

Responsibilities

The Entry-Level Research Law Librarian will monitor, prioritize, and respond to requests while coordinating with team members and client law library departments. Responsibilities include procuring known-item documents such as journal articles and book chapters, and pulling cases, dockets, and other court documents efficiently. The role also involves assisting with the creation and maintenance of passwords for electronic resources, supporting large data projects and library initiatives, and providing excellent customer service.
