Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience working in a clerical position in a manufacturing / production environment preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred
  • Epicor experience preferred
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary clerical representative for galvanizing shipping purposes
  • Confirms the accuracy of shipments
  • Locates and stages shipments to their due date
  • Performs other clerical duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager
  • Reviews and verifies documents as related to the shipping process
  • Confers or corresponds with representatives to schedule reception / delivery of materials
  • Contacts representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
  • Records shipment data for recordkeeping purposes
  • Maintains and updates filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager
