Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of SAP, general financial reporting software, and applicable power and utilities platforms used for invoicing and recording
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable (and to a limited extent) accounts payable process
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, such as queries, pivot tables, and formulas, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
  • Written and verbal communication skills that enable effective communication with various groups within the company (particularly the Accounting and Asset Management teams)
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives

Responsibilities

  • Manage the revenue billing and accounts receivable process for large utility-scale solar and wind plants
  • Understand contractual stipulations associated with “price” and “quantity” (as these inputs drive settlement activity)
  • Manage documents and ensure regulatory compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Manage shadow settlements for various ISOs (independent system operators)
  • Manage the dispute process with the ISO and qualified scheduling entities (QSE)
  • Manage all assigned ISO processes, including data management, reporting, and timely analysis
  • Support the Accounting team with various tasks, including recording settlement activity as part of accounting close, managing regulatory filings and audit requests, and performing trend analyses
  • Handle all revenue billing and cash applications for all large utility-scale solar and wind projects
  • Provide reports, analyses, trend analyses, or other ad hoc reports as required by both internal and external parties to support legal, regulatory, and commercial requirements
  • Maintain all documentation related to settlement processes in support of internal and external audits and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Engage in special projects or requests as needed
