Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth accounting operations within established timeframe
  • Ensure monthly accounting and reporting activities are executed in line with month-end close timetable and client guidelines
  • Ensure all SLAs, KPIs, and BOIs are met on a monthly basis
  • Conduct governance calls with client stakeholders to provide timely status and discuss medium- and long-term process improvements
  • Drive people engagement to ensure seamless delivery with a highly skilled and motivated workforce/team
  • Supervise and oversee AP/GL entries, bookkeeping of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, receiving and posting cash receipts, posting of invoices, reconciling outstanding account balances, maintenance of accurate records and control reports
  • Guide and support team to resolve day-to-day issues in service delivery, such as complex reconciliations
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to set standards, compliance requirements, client financial and accounting principles, statutory requirements, and implementation of internal controls
  • Influence and challenge key stakeholders effectively
  • Set day-to-day operational objectives for the team
  • Respond to critical, technical, or other issues escalated by the team
  • Manage people with more than 20+ resources under span of control
  • Support team members with less experience by providing assistance and training to lower-level employees
  • Lead daily operations, delegate, and review work of subordinates
  • Assist with ad hoc duties to ensure smooth running of the department
  • Generate daily and ad-hoc reports
  • Perform daily & weekly tasks as assigned by Project Lead
  • Perform MEC activities as assigned by Project Lead
  • Support external & internal audit exercises
  • Conduct work/capacity planning, estimation, and prioritization to optimize performance of group/resources
  • Provide and implement workable solutions to business issues/problems with minimum referral to senior management
  • Operate largely independently in meeting defined business objectives and goals
  • Perform complex tasks and participate in complex cross-area/function activities
