  • 2-4 years of experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in an agency environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Understanding of SEO core elements including, but not limited to, on-page and off-page tactics, optimization of site navigation, internal linking structure, URL structure, title tags, and meta descriptions
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and website analytics platforms
  • Experience in SEO Optimization for News Portals
  • Ability to start and complete an SEO Audit independently
  • A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical SEO issues, such as crawling errors, indexing problems, pagespeed issues, XML sitemaps & robots.txt errors, and schema markup, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Ability to have challenging, but productive business conversations
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach
  • Ability to extract trends and insights from complex data sets
  • Understanding of business-related concepts and the interrelationship between key metrics
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices in SEO

Responsibilities

  • Measure and track site ranking factors, keywords, internal and external links, and site content
  • Review and audit clients’ sites to drive change that complies with current best practices
  • Perform SEO Audits and drive the implementation roadmap of on-page optimization
  • Be the leading figure in SEO Audit Presentations & the driver of new SEO insights on a weekly basis, on Technical & Content SEO improvements
  • Perform comprehensive keyword research and analysis to identify valuable opportunities for content optimization and improved visibility
  • Monitor the performance of clients’ SEO strategies and provide recommendations for ongoing optimization
  • Stay current with search engine trends to develop and improve SEO practices within the agency
  • Report on all clients’ important KPIs, using reporting & presentation tools
  • Help our clients implement the tasks and projects agreed with our SEO team, using project management skills, guidance and training when needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, web developers, and designers, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of website development and content creation
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and develop strategies to outperform competitors in search rankings
