Candidates should possess 5-7 years of commercial underwriting experience specializing in construction risks, with experience underwriting heat application roofing and commercial snow removal risks being an asset. A CIP, CRM, or FCIP designation is preferred, along with experience working with an MGA or program specific division of an insurance company, and a track record of achieving premium and bind ratio targets.
The Senior Underwriter - Construction will underwrite and manage a book of construction risks, meeting premium and bind ratio targets while maintaining a disciplined underwriting approach. They will contribute to operational efficiency, collaborate with leadership to shape the growth and profitability strategy, provide input on pricing strategy, and collaborate on underwriting guidelines and wordings. Furthermore, they will develop and strengthen relationships with Zensurance brokers, act as a trusted partner, and mentor and guide fellow team members, sharing their expertise and fostering their professional growth.
