Requirements

Expertise in preparing detailed cost estimates for trackwork systems including ballasted track, direct fixation track, embedded track, special trackwork, switches, and turnouts
Proficiency in performing quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models
Ability to develop and maintain unit rates for rail, ties, fasteners, ballast, sub-ballast, concrete plinths, and special trackwork installations
Strong collaboration skills with designers, engineers, and construction managers to validate constructability, sequencing, and methodology impacts on cost
Experience supporting value engineering exercises by identifying cost-saving alternatives and innovative construction methods
Skills in analyzing subcontractor/vendor pricing and providing bid evaluations
Capability to support tender preparation and submission for design-build or P3 infrastructure contracts
Knowledge of risk and contingency analysis, particularly for ground conditions, interfaces with civil/structural works, and tie-ins with existing rail systems
Ability to track and update market trends in rail, materials, and labor for trackwork construction
Proficiency in providing input for project budgets, cost planning, change orders, and claims

Responsibilities
