Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation in an APAC country
  • Law degree and/or CPA and/or MBA a strong plus
  • 5/6 years of related experience in a large MNC and/or a Big 4 firm
  • Solid tax knowledge and familiar with worldwide tax regulations and standards interpretation
  • Experienced communicator with the ability to influence and motivate others to implement and maintain a culture of continuous improvement in connection with cross-organization processes
  • Efficient and creative problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and nuance
  • Computer software skills: Proficient in MS Office tools and Web applications; Knowledge with trading systems
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communicational (both verbal and oral) as well as writing skills in English
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment and be able to establish positive working relationships
  • Independently driven with the ability to work as a part of a team in a multinational environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Implementing tax processes worldwide as well as domestic and international tax planning within Asia-Pacific
  • Managing direct and indirect tax aspects globally, including Corporate, Federal and State tax, VAT, GST, Sales tax, Withholding tax and other levies
  • Review the tax implications of international mobile employees or contractors
  • Monitoring the Group’s tax policy (Transfer pricing studies, tax structures etc) and handling tax audits on a worldwide basis
  • Adhering to tax regulations and investigating new tax laws and developments and their respective impacts on the Company
  • Assisting the Finance team and Legal/Sales/operations team with tax matters, questions, tax training and collaborating with outside advisors
