Requirements

  • Direct tax experience in a high-growth environment, ideally with exposure to multinational operations
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Adviser (or working towards it)
  • Strong grasp of current Corporation Tax laws and anti-tax avoidance legislation such as ATAD and DAC6
  • Exceptional analytical skills and accuracy, particularly in working with large datasets and spreadsheets
  • Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Thrive in cross-functional collaboration with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating complex tax scenarios across jurisdictions
  • Experience with transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, and global structuring projects highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete Corporation Tax returns, both in-house and via outsourced providers
  • Compile UK-specific calculations including RDEC, patent box, and share-based payments
  • Manage CT prepayments to optimize cashflow and leverage discounts
  • Collaborate with the General Ledger team on local GAAP tax accounting and US GAAP conversions
  • Partner with local advisers to ensure correct tax treatment of global activities (e.g., FX, employee allowances, R&D)
  • Evaluate feasibility of bringing outsourced CT compliance in-house
  • Monitor PE risk and guide business expansion strategies
  • Support global supply chain and structuring projects
  • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, including local files and CbC reporting
  • Respond to tax audits, notices, and information requests
  • Work with internal systems and departments to ensure accurate documentation of tax positions
  • Assist with VAT and employment tax compliance as needed
