Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors with 15+ years of experience
  • AWS Expert, certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Design Patterns, Java programming language and Unit Testing frameworks
  • Hands-on experience in utilizing Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Integration and Data) and Spring Boot
  • Expert on Kafka and/or related messaging frameworks, ActiveMQ
  • Hands-on experience in web services (REST), EJBs
  • SQL, Hibernate on Database such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Containers - Docker/Kubernetes, Helm
  • Experience with Python is a big plus
  • Ability to analyze, design, and develop a software solution roadmap and implementation plan based upon current vs. future state of the business
  • Working knowledge of technology choices and related cost implications; experience with complex solution configurations
  • Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth
  • Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning, implementation, steady state, de-commissioning)
  • Expert level skills in design, architecture and development, with ability to deep dive into implementation
  • Expert in core data structures and algorithms with ability to implement them
  • Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies, able to adapt and improvise
  • Expert in navigating ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks

Responsibilities

  • Design highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application/product in its entirety, with vision to integrate across multiple systems
  • Drive design and development efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability and performance in alignment with product/application roadmap
  • Provide technical leadership and define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced agile development environment using latest software development and infrastructure
  • Provide guidance to developers on planning, execution, and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM
  • Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision
  • Drive increased efficiency across teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
  • Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers
  • Lead impact assessment and decisions related to technology choices, design/architectural considerations and implementation strategy
  • Lead architecture and design efforts across the product/multiple product versions and architect custom solutions off the base product
  • Evaluate technology to drive features and roadmaps; map technology trends to internal vision
  • Understand and apply common analytical techniques, including ROI, SWOT, and Gap analyses; articulate business drivers
  • Influence through others; pre-emptively see downstream consequences
