Candidates must possess a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, along with 10+ years of research experience in AI/NLP/ML, and experience conducting research and shipping user-facing products. Strong backgrounds in NLP, LLMs, and deep learning techniques are required, as well as hands-on experience with LLMs such as GPT, BERT, T5, and knowledge of their application in real-world environments, including experience with knowledge graph construction, indexing, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) models.
As a Senior Staff Research Engineer, you will conduct groundbreaking research in personalization and on-device AI solutions using LLMs, specifically for mobile and embedded devices, and develop new approaches for incorporating LLMs into personalized recommendations, Q&A, context-aware features, and proactive assistance. You will design, prototype, and implement LLM-based models to deliver a personalized, adaptive experience, collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into end-user applications, and focus on improving device efficiency, privacy, and security while utilizing state-of-the-art AI techniques. Furthermore, you will stay up-to-date with the latest AI and LLM research trends, contribute to the publication of research findings, and present insights to internal teams and stakeholders.
