Requirements

  • Level 6 degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in engineering, operations excellence, or process improvement roles
  • Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and their practical application in manufacturing or operations
  • Proven track record of leading CI or transformation projects from concept to implementation with measurable results

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key point of contact for Lean and Six Sigma activities, driving projects that improve efficiency, cost, and quality while strengthening CI culture
  • Be the technical leader for CI and transformation projects that support site operations and strategic priorities
  • Act as the site lead for Continuous Improvement, promoting and embedding Lean and Six Sigma practices across all areas of operations
  • Drive business performance through process optimisation, leading initiatives that improve lead time, productivity, first-pass yield, and cost
  • Manage and deliver key projects through the PMO, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy
  • Lead and facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, and Lean “lighthouse” projects to deliver sustainable improvement
  • Partner with Advanced Operations and Process Development teams to support new technology integration, automation, and digital transformation
  • Train, coach, and mentor engineers, technicians, and operators in Lean tools, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Develop and standardise best practices for industrial engineering and CI systems
  • Collaborate with production planning and operations teams to ensure changes align with capacity, workflow, and Lean design principles
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions for process or quality challenges, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained
  • Provide technical leadership and influence across teams, helping shape a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning
  • Participate in cross-site and cross-functional initiatives to share best practices and drive broader transformation efforts
