Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Mechatronics/Automation with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s with 7+ years
  • Proficient in PLC programming (ladder logic & structured text)
  • Experienced with AC/DC drives, servo motors, HMIs, machine vision, and safety systems
  • Skilled in managing automation projects, including debugging, installation, and training aligned with project specs
  • Strong written and verbal communication, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for stakeholders
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset for process optimization and problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Beckman factories and contracted suppliers to develop user requirement specifications (URS), automation concepts, and architectural-level designs for large-scale equipment
  • Lead end-to-end project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, design, implementation, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation, while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Design and program industrial control systems, such as PLCs, robotics, HMIs, vision systems, and motion controls, and ensure supplier deliverables meet technical standards
  • Establish and promote controls engineering best practices across procurement, design, installation, and FAT/SAT processes, including quality reviews and technical studies
  • Communicate effectively with plant teams to support troubleshooting and translate operational challenges into technical solutions
