Requirements

Expertise in designing and implementing scalable infrastructure, particularly for real-time large dataset processing (millions of rows) with on-demand pivoting, transformation, and aggregation
Proficiency with Kubernetes (GKE on Google Cloud Platform), Terraform for infrastructure as code, and related tools (Google Cloud SQL, GCS buckets, IAM)
Experience with databases: PostgreSQL (CloudSQL, CloudNativePG), SingleStore, ElasticSearch
Knowledge of queuing systems (RabbitMQ), workflow automation (Temporal.io), and tools like ArgoCD, Istio, Vault, Github
Ability to ensure high availability, redundancy, performance monitoring, and observability best practices
Skills in automation, incident response, security implementation (credentials management, code repositories), and geographical expansion
Capability to contribute to software development activities and collaborate closely with software engineers
Alignment with engineering culture: curiosity, humility, trust, ownership, team spirit, user-centricity, and pragmatism

Responsibilities

Define and build scalable infrastructure to address performance challenges, automate it, and enable auto-scaling based on platform usage
Secure high availability and redundancy of the Pigment platform
Monitor platform performance and correctness, spread observability best practices across the engineering team
Participate in incident response
Accompany Pigment's geographical expansion as the company grows and signs overseas clients
Work with the security team on infrastructure and development pipeline implementations (code repository, credentials management)
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in development practices and pipelines, drive automation and improvements across the software engineering team
Contribute to software development activities, collaborating closely with software engineers
