Requirements

  • Solid ability to deliver complex Datacenter products to customers; experience with datacenter servers and associated SW technologies highly desired
  • Hands-on experience with software development and processes, specifically for system software/firmware development
  • Ability to work independently and actively with minimal direction
  • Proven experience creatively resolving technical issues and resource conflicts
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, and build consensus to make programs successful
  • Detailed knowledge of software engineering principles
  • Experience with industry standard configuration management tools
  • Experience with productivity tools and process automation
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and technical presentation skills
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience), with 6+ years proven experience in a similar or related role
  • Operating systems principles, Linux OS, and programming experience in modern programming languages (advantageous)
  • Datacenter functional knowledge and experience with PCIe boards (plus)
  • Previous experience coordinating activities between HW, Firmware, and SW organizations (plus)
  • Knowledge of GPUs and NICs (plus)
  • Experience with Agile tools (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with software and firmware development managers, engineers, and logistical personnel to understand, define, and implement processes supporting NVIDIA GPUs HPC and AI platforms for cloud service providers and OEMs, including general compute and firmware releases
  • Lead software and firmware execution for Datacenter class Servers, Rack Solutions, and PCIe products; drive release schedules, plans, and executive status updates
  • Schedule and lead status meetings; serve as focal point for building and maintaining release schedules and plans of record
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to plan and drive Software/Firmware objectives; collect requirements, define priorities, drive scheduling and planning for all phases
  • Develop and maintain schedules for many moving parts working in parallel
  • Lead and improve existing product development and software release processes; collaborate with engineering management to refine development workflows for maximum efficiency
  • Translate customer requirements into achievable goals and actions; ensure customers are kept up to date on issue status
  • Partner with internal teams and third parties in different time zones to resolve customer issues
  • Manage customer releases
  • Drive process documentation
  • Work with customer PMs on software issues, including technical feedback from OEM/ODMs and CSPs
  • Improve and maintain all processes related to enterprise support
  • Understand the big picture of the complete NVIDIA SW stack that runs on NVIDIA GPUs
