Requirements

Candidates must possess a Computer Science or Engineering degree and have over 10 years of experience developing Java components within distributed, fault-tolerant systems, including integration with relational databases and messaging middleware. Proficiency in TDD/BDD, clean coding principles, Spring, and REST services for data extraction/insertion is essential. A strong engineering skill set with a firm grasp of fundamental Computer Science principles, experience in Linux/containerized environments with tuning capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across time zones and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced industry are required. Experience with algorithmic trading, data warehousing solutions (AWS/RDS), PostgreSQL, Python, and the finance or crypto trading industry are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of fault-tolerant, containerized distributed microservices for exchange data management. They will provide services to both internal and external clients, evaluate new technologies, and collaborate with peers and users on technical design and direction. Additionally, they will act as a senior technical resource for junior engineers in a rapidly evolving environment with a varied and expanding product line.
