Candidates should possess 5+ years of full-time experience developing microservices for a SaaS product using languages such as Go, Java, Scala, Kotlin, C++, Python, or Node.js, along with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. They must demonstrate a deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability challenges, multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies, and possess a proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.
The Senior Software Engineer will develop and maintain services to meet reliability and scalability demands, develop and enhance monitoring services, brainstorm and define new features collaboratively with multiple teams, obsess about learning and champion new technologies, mentor other developers on web security and authentication strategies, constantly re-evaluate the product to improve architecture and stability, be an energetic self-starter taking ownership of deliverables, use and give back to the open source community, and meet commitments on time while producing high-quality, tested software.
