Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in both frontend and backend software development, demonstrating full-stack capabilities. A strong foundation in security and authentication systems, including familiarity with open-source products like Keycloak and OpenFGA, is required. Proficiency in authorization paradigms such as Google Zanzibar, UMA, RBAC/ABAC, or ACL-based models is necessary. Prior experience as a senior engineer or tech lead, with a proven ability to mentor junior engineers, is essential. A passion for building reliable and scalable systems, understanding their interaction with frontend experiences, is also required. U.S. Person status is mandatory due to the need to access U.S. only data systems.
The Senior Software Engineer, Identity will design, build, deploy, and maintain a comprehensive suite of authorization and authentication systems, utilizing open-source software like Keycloak and OpenFGA. This role involves helping to define and shape the team's strategic direction and roadmap. Responsibilities include building APIs and UX experiences for user login, user management, and access control. The engineer will collaborate closely with the security team to define and implement robust security practices and will influence security and authentication patterns across the organization. They will also interface with the Mission team to define and build various user management workflows and experiences, and craft the strategy for securing the company's growing suite of APIs.
