Requirements

Candidates should possess over 5 years of software engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing, robotics, or automation. Strong backend programming skills in C++ and Python are essential, along with prior experience in industrial automation, robotics systems, or CAD/CAM workflows. Familiarity with systems integration, hardware/software interfaces, production station bring-up, diagnostic tooling, debugging, and real-time monitoring of distributed systems is required. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, works well in fast-moving cross-functional teams, is highly autonomous, and demonstrates strong communication and documentation skills for asynchronous collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will develop a deep understanding of internal CAD and automation tools, serving as the primary technical support for software or system failures in Singapore-based manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include building and maintaining diagnostic and triage tools, leading local debugging efforts, coordinating with vendors and stakeholders, and acting as the engineering point of contact for automation development partnerships. The role also involves contributing to backend development and tooling for automation initiatives and process improvement, while maintaining alignment with the U.S. engineering team through daily overlap.
