Current Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance required (Active TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph preferred)
9+ years of experience as a software engineer designing, developing, and deploying complex backend systems, plus a Bachelor's in a related field; or 7 years experience with a Master's; or High School Diploma and 13 years experience
Strong working knowledge and experience developing Java-based software capabilities
Experience in designing enterprise APIs
Experience in RESTful web services
Experience in Microservices architecture
Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms
Experience with the agile software lifecycle
Proven ability to learn quickly and work well independently and in a team setting
Experience with the Linux operating system
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Nexus, Maven)
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at the Columbia, MD office, with flexibility to adapt to schedule changes
Inquisitive nature, responsiveness, excellent testing skills, strong troubleshooting skills, and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
