Candidates must have 4-7 years of industry experience as a full stack engineer and at least 1 year of experience with Ruby or other backend/server-side frameworks. A minimum of 1 year of experience working on a large, complex web application in production with React is also required. Candidates must be located in the United States and have experience designing and leading large technical projects for engineering teams.
As a senior engineer, you will lead or play a key role in the planning and delivery of projects, with an emphasis on backend engineering, databases, data modeling, and API design. You will contribute to shaping the technical strategy of the team, occasionally performing frontend work, and ensuring product shipping through testing, QA, and release. You will also be involved in defining user requirements, providing feedback on designs, shaping project scope with product counterparts, and improving the engineering and product organization by contributing to technical guilds, becoming a subject matter expert, improving team processes, and mentoring other engineers.
