Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building and maintaining Enterprise Web Services using Java, Spring Framework, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS in a distributed systems environment
  • Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building and maintaining Enterprise Web Services using Java, Spring Framework, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS in a distributed systems environment
  • Demonstrated Expertise designing and developing distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Docker
  • Demonstrated Expertise designing and developing Microservices for real-time data streaming using Kafka and ensuring seamless synchronization across multiple applications
  • Demonstrated Expertise developing and maintaining enterprise-standard infrastructure across multiple environments, including on-prem Linux VMs and AWS cloud infrastructure; and performing containerization using Docker and deployment using Kubernetes
  • Demonstrated Expertise building dynamic and responsive User Interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Experience implementing Java APIs utilizing SaaS products and Data solutions
  • Experience deploying web services on AWS
  • Experience developing REST-based web services and applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, APIGEE, and Stratum
  • Experience developing responsive software applications using Angular 12+
  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools using Jenkins and GIT
  • Experience developing observability dashboards and alerts using Data Dog

Responsibilities

  • Implements Java Application Program Interfaces (API) solutions utilizing SaaS products and Data solutions
  • Deploys web services on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Develops REST based web services and applications using frameworks and technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, APIGEE and Stratum
  • Develops responsive software applications using Angular 12+
  • Containerizes applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Performs coding and automation of application pipelines with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools using Jenkins and GIT
  • Develops observability dashboards, and alerts using Data Dog
  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts
  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and in multiple platforms
  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives
  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation
  • Assists in the planning and conducting of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives
  • Responsible for post-installation testing
  • Establishes project plans for mid-sized projects
  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives
