Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of software development experience, with strong preference for experience in healthcare
  • Expertise working with popular front-end JavaScript frameworks, like React
  • Expertise in building and scaling backend services in a production environment or expertise in single page frontend applications
  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, GoLang, Python (Flask/FastApi frameworks) and/or other modern programming languages
  • Experience designing and/or consuming RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency in relational databases such as Postgres
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (preferably AWS) with containerized applications (e.g., Docker, ECS, Fargate)
  • Strong understanding of testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring best practices
  • Experience working in cross-functional agile teams, with a product-focused and customer-centric mindset

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to design, build, and enhance our products’ features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that scales with user needs and system growth
  • Take ownership of end-to-end software development cycles — from architecture and implementation to deployment and monitoring
  • Ensure observability and reliability metrics
  • Help evolve and maintain our platform architecture to support a growing number of referral partners and use cases
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members through code reviews and architectural discussions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability challenges across backend services
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and roadmap discussions to help shape the direction of the team’s work
  • Drive best practices in testing, CI/CD, observability, and agile development
