Requirements

Candidates should have at least 6 years of relevant technical experience and proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python or Typescript. A thorough understanding of Object Relational Mapping libraries like SQLAlchemy or TypeORM is required, along with proficiency in relational databases, preferably Postgres. Experience developing user-friendly APIs using GraphQL and knowledge of version control via Git/GitHub are essential. Candidates should also be familiar with modern authorization mechanisms like JSON Web Token (JWT) and have experience with unit testing, integration, and contract testing frameworks such as pytest, jest, or PactFlow. The ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical execution is necessary, along with experience in SaaS and multi-tenant environments, and an understanding of architecture methodologies like Event Driven and Domain Driven Design.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer (Backend) will develop well-tested GraphQL mutations and queries to expose the underlying data model to users. They will design relational database tables and corresponding models from defined specifications, architect and write independent modules to execute code off the request cycle, and write technical design specifications and diagrams such as UML. Additionally, they will optimize ORM model code for reusability and efficiency, and drive code level architecture and reusability through modularity.
