Requirements

3+ years of experience working in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#
3+ years of experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases
Hands-on experience with JavaScript and front-end integration (experience with React or similar frameworks is a plus)
3+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating systems in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure preferred)
A strong understanding of distributed systems, performance optimization, and scalability challenges
Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborating across multiple teams
Passion for data-driven decision-making, marketing automation, and personalization technologies
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power personalized marketing experiences for millions of DraftKings customers
Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Marketing stakeholders to implement systems that tailor campaigns and content to customer preferences
Lead initiatives to modernize and automate our internal MarTech stack, increasing efficiency and innovation velocity
Own services deployed in a cloud-native environment, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability at scale
Contribute to system architecture and design discussions with a focus on scalability, performance, and fault tolerance
Write clean, maintainable code, and participate in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards
Mentor junior engineers and lead by example in technical design, development, and cross-functional collaboration
