Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of Golang experience, focusing on infrastructure software, system tooling, or backend libraries, with a deep understanding of build systems, source control internals, and monorepo tooling. Demonstrated experience in performance profiling, system-level debugging, and concurrent programming in Go is essential, along with a proven track record of contributing to internal platforms, build pipelines, or open-source tooling. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and automation, along with strong knowledge of Linux development environments and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.), are required. Excellent communication and documentation skills are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with build tools like Bazel, Buck, or Pants, familiarity with Git internals and large-scale repository management, prior work in developer productivity or internal platform teams, and contributions to open-source Golang projects.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable Golang-based libraries, command-line tools, and internal systems to support developer workflows. This includes developing and enhancing components in build systems, optimizing the performance, reliability, and ergonomics of developer tooling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system architecture. The role also involves contributing to code reviews, technical documentation, identifying and solving development workflow pain points with automated solutions, and participating in root cause analysis and resolution of system failures.
