Requirements

  • Strong foundation in software engineering principles
  • Proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++
  • Experience in object-oriented programming (plus)
  • Experience working in Linux-based environments
  • Experience in defining requirements and test cases (preferred)
  • Experience in designing or architecting automated verification framework and tests (preferred)
  • Experience with CI/CD and related tools (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms/deployment and web services (preferred)
  • Experience with databases (preferred)
  • Eager to learn Bioinformatics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly

  • Proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute testing strategies for data analysis software within cross-functional teams
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated software verification framework and scripts
  • Collaborate with bioinformatics scientists to support data analysis, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to tool development
  • Participate in Code and Design Reviews
  • Ensure Software Development Life Cycle best practices and regulatory requirements are followed
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance development and testing efficiency
