Machine Learning Engineer - Driverless Technology

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to research, design, and develop new machine learning solutions and algorithms for our driverless technology company. This role involves building and supporting a petabyte-scale data platform in the cloud, providing powerful foundations for the Machine Learning Infrastructure team's tools, frameworks, and services.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support a petabyte-scale data platform in the cloud.
  • Provide powerful foundations for Machine Learning Infrastructure team’s tools, frameworks, and services.
  • Ensure scalable, transparent, and reliable data ingestion and management.
  • Develop fast, robust, and spike-resistant data consumption, data mining, and processing tools for the entire company.
  • Develop orchestration for large-scale post-processing and computational pipelines.
  • Utilize the latest cloud technologies to own, design, implement, and test scalable distributed data systems in the cloud.
  • Champion engineering excellence by continuously improving systems and processes.
  • Own technical projects from start to finish.
  • Contribute to the team’s product roadmap.
  • Be responsible for major technical decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Effectively participate in team planning, code reviews, and design discussions.
  • Consider the effects of projects across multiple teams and proactively manage conflicts.
  • Collaborate with partner teams and organizations to achieve cross-departmental goals and satisfy broad requirements.
  • Conduct technical interviews with well-calibrated standards and play an essential role in recruiting activities.
  • Effectively onboard and mentor junior engineers and/or interns.
  • May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of work experience as a Software Development Engineer, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Operating Systems Knowledge including Linux
    • Functional Programming
    • Providing Code Reviews
    • Providing Architectural and Design Guidelines
    • Conducting Technical Interviews

Compensation

  • Base Compensation: $180,960.00 - $244,800.00 Annually. Actual base compensation will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
