Requirements

BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years related experience
Multi-dimensional platform experience
Expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background
Ability to report to Pulse Point location in Nashville, TN (or within commuting distance from an office; hybrid 1-2 days in-office per week)
Extensive web application development experience
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
Minimum of 5 years of related experience in application/system development and maintenance
Expertise working with business and technical applications across multi-technology platforms
Strong background in multi-database and/or multi-language environments
Proven experience mentoring others and leading

Responsibilities

Build, deliver, and maintain applications and systems across complex multi-technology platforms
Maintain an understanding of how your work contributes to larger initiatives; identify risks and gaps in requirements
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following established best practices
Maintain active relationships with stakeholders; lead requirements-gathering meetings
Own the change request process and coordinate with other teams as needed
Provide technical advice and influence cross-functional technical decisions
Research and propose new technologies; develop and prioritize enhancement lists
Define application scope and objectives; prepare technical and functional specifications
Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews
Oversee unit and system testing to ensure compliance with test plans
Support data and information planning; assess current systems and recommend improvements
Coordinate support and ensure effective system monitoring
Maintain the technical development environment
Mentor team members
Set direction at the project/service level and influence decision-making
Identify and propose strategies for resolving technical problems impacting the team
Communicate technical standards and gain buy-in from stakeholders
Facilitate group sessions for requirements clarification, design, troubleshooting, and code reviews
Support vendor evaluation and integration
Collaborate with fellow software engineers, members of product and operational teams, and external partners to ensure system reliability and deliver new features
