A BS, MS, PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required, along with 6+ years of experience in software development with C++, strength in CAD software and VLSI hardware design, good understanding of computational geometry and graph theory, familiarity with VLSI floorplan concepts, and expertise in algorithm development for physical design.
Responsibilities include inventing and optimizing new methods for floorplanning and chip-level optimization tools, improving designer insight and visualization by extending GUIs built on ImGui and/or OpenGL, and developing machine learning strategies to improve efficiency of design space exploration.
C++17/C++14 experience such as lambdas and concurrency, experience and/or interest in GUI development using ImGui or OpenGL, deep understanding of algorithm design principles such as complexity analysis and efficient memory and I/O use, and an obsession with performance and practical skills to build highly innovative software.
