Requirements

  • U.S. citizen residing and working in the United States
  • Willing and able to obtain U.S. federal security clearance (minimum Public Trust position)
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Helm Charts and omnibus-gitlab
  • Experience with cloud-native services (e.g. AWS, GCP)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation that provisions and manages hundreds of isolated GitLab environments using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes
  • Manage complex state strategies and workspace configurations to support scale and maintainability
  • Troubleshoot issues across Kubernetes clusters, cloud services, and GitLab apps—identifying root causes of failures
  • Deploy features and updates safely and consistently
  • Maintain operational excellence across many production environments simultaneously
  • Automate workflows across the full environment lifecycle—from provisioning new environments to daily operational tasks
  • Build and operate Dedicated GitLab instances integrated with cloud-native services
  • Develop tools to orchestrate infrastructure-as-code workflows across multiple tenants
  • Deploy and manage microservices on Kubernetes clusters at scale
  • Enhance GitLab’s observability stack to support proactive monitoring and incident response
  • Integrate with and operate infrastructure in cloud provider ecosystems
  • Champion and implement cloud security best practices across automated infrastructure
  • Ensure successful implementation of GitLab services to meet Federal and regulatory requirements
