Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in information security, with 3+ years of experience in scripting languages like Python or Bash, and 3+ years of experience with AWS and Terraform. Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, is required. A strong knowledge of network security, application security, cloud security, Linux, and networking is essential, as is previous experience with IT operations and security frameworks like NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, and SOC 2. Familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security is also expected.

Responsibilities

The Senior Security Engineer will manage the security of R&D operations and production applications, plan and execute security initiatives, and take ownership of the security strategy. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems in AWS and GitHub, conducting security assessments, evaluating penetration test results, and validating bug bounty submissions. The engineer will also understand and recommend security policies, respond to security incidents, provide post-incident analysis, stay updated on security trends, mentor junior engineers, and apply Threat Modelling principles.
