Requirements

  • Office-based role requiring 4 days in Hammersmith, London office and 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales and distribution of the full Disney portfolio, with heightened focus on US scripted series and studio feature films across Currents and Library content in broadcast and on-demand windows in Africa and CEE
  • Creatively tailor sales pitches and initiatives to license all content categories via direct licensing, effectively windowing content, pacing exposure, and securing/growing revenue streams
  • Monitor the marketplace for changes affecting sales, identify/create new sales opportunities from new entrants, emerging markets, changing technology, or delivery systems
  • Provide regular distribution updates and market intelligence to SVP and Country Manager
  • Maintain clear understanding of commercial value/impact of new licensing rights and clients’ KPIs, success, and challenges
  • Work closely with Director to review deals and negotiations, receiving input and guidance
  • Provide timely feedback to content revenue forecasts, budgets, and 5-year planning
  • Improve licensing terms/fees across the portfolio and expand client base
  • Perform other related duties as requested by management, Director, and SVP
  • Manage Sales Manager and Senior Sales and Deal Management Executive
  • Collaborate with Director to establish ambitious sales targets, monitor progress, ensure alignment with objectives, drive performance, provide feedback, manage workloads, and foster improvement
  • Manage relationships with clients in the Territory through regular contact, gathering market intelligence, updating on Disney content, tracking KPIs/activities
  • Escalate and manage complex rights, business, security, and payment issues with Sales Director, Finance, and Legal support
  • Inform clients of upcoming Disney corporate events, product programs, and services
  • Follow up with clients on requests, series launches, key feature film premieres, or scheduling (e.g., holidays)
  • Navigate solutions to contract/distribution issues timely and escalate as necessary
  • Orchestrate content launches and scheduling with clients, Sales Director, and marketing team to maximize ratings and promotional opportunities
  • Provide expert sales advice on Territory countries (markets, customers, product profitability)
  • Provide expert advice to Director, Country Manager, and Executive team on content and clients in the Territory
  • Support Director, SVP, and Country Manager in identifying/driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment
