Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related discipline, with a Master's degree or professional certification such as CRMP or FRM being highly desirable. A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk roles within highly regulated industries, ideally pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or insurance, is required. Proven strategic thinking, a proactive and hands-on approach to risk management, and deep expertise in risk and control assessments, controls design, risk dashboards, and risk appetite embedment are essential. Experience with risk software tools or Governance Risk and Compliance systems is highly regarded, as is familiarity with Fraud, Third Party, and Business Continuity risk. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, project management, prioritization, and coordination skills are necessary, along with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels. High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity and compliance are expected.
The Senior Manager, Risk will design, implement, and continuously enhance the organization's risk management strategy, appetite statements, and frameworks, embedding risk into strategic planning and addressing current and emerging risks. They will advise senior leaders on risk trends, mitigation approaches, and best practices, and build robust frameworks across financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks. This role involves developing scalable policies and tools, leading assessments and reviews (including fraud and third-party risk), and supporting operational resilience planning. The Senior Manager will also contribute to the rollout of a GRC system, implement centralized monitoring, reporting, and escalation processes, and prepare risk reports and dashboards. Additionally, they will design and deliver training to build risk awareness and foster a proactive risk culture throughout the business.
