Senior Revenue Accountant

Position Overview

Clipboard Health is seeking a high-performing Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, this role will be instrumental in managing the month-end close process, preparing and posting journals, and driving process improvements related to revenue and accounts receivable (AR). This position requires strong collaboration with the broader Finance team to implement efficient accounting procedures and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and book journal entries to ensure the appropriate revenue, cost, and AR treatments.
  • Complete ASC 606 analyses for new revenue streams.
  • Assist with the monthly accounting close, including analyzing fluctuations and providing meaningful financial reporting.
  • Understand relevant accounting principles and communicate them to peers and business partners, primarily in written form.
  • Analyze current procedures and make recommendations to develop and drive process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
  • Operate with minimum supervision.
  • Support the external audit process and create improvements for any identified inefficiencies.
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Undertake special projects as requested.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
  • Master's degree in accounting or equivalent field.
  • CPA and recent Big Four experience.
  • Experience in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
