Requirements

The Senior Product Owner must have a deep understanding of technology platforms and tools used by HGB associates in their supported operational area, either through direct use or learning from other users. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with all stakeholders, including business teams, scrum masters, product managers, Clinical Operations leaders, and other HGB teams. This role requires the ability to analyze situations and data, evaluating variable factors for moderately complex to complex work assignments. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and backlog prioritization is implied.

Responsibilities

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining requirements, IT needs, and user stories, and prioritizing the Team Backlog to align with program priorities. They will maximize value by ensuring user stories meet business needs and comply with the Definition of Done. This role involves serving as the primary liaison between business/operational functions and technology, understanding operational team priorities and needs, and representing the operational team to the Agile Team. Key accountabilities include preparing for and participating in Program Increments, briefing stakeholders on vision and roadmap, managing team backlog, iteration planning, accepting user stories, assisting with work sequencing, facilitating user testing, and coordinating with other Product Owners. They will also support or produce system demonstrations and monitor progress throughout the feature lifecycle, resolving questions and challenges, reducing risk, and minimizing delays.
