Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in the payments industry, with focus on card authorization
  • Deep understanding of Visa and Mastercard product rules and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with authorization flows, ISO 8583 messaging, and integration with acquirers and issuers
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and make evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Intermediate to advanced English (for reading technical documentation and interacting with global partners)
  • Basic Qualifications: 5+ years relevant work experience with Bachelor's Degree, or 2+ years with Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years with PhD
  • Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years work experience with Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years relevant experience with Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with PhD

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for card authorization, ensuring alignment with company’s strategic goals
  • Act as the main point of contact between engineering, business, compliance teams, issuers, and external partners (such as card networks and acquirers)
  • Ensure products comply with the latest Visa and Mastercard rules and updates
  • Monitor and analyze authorization performance metrics (approval rates, declines, fraud, etc.) and drive continuous improvements
  • Participate in technical and strategic forums with card networks and partners to anticipate regulatory and technological changes
  • Conduct discovery with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency
  • Define and prioritize functional and technical requirements in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Ensure product quality, including non-functional aspects such as integrity, resilience, and scalability
