Requirements

6-10 years of software engineering experience, or 4+ years if on the front lines of an exceptional product organization
Strong full-stack web development skills, comfortable with similar technologies to Lit, React, GraphQL API, NestJS backend, TypeORM, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, and able to learn quickly
Smart, curious, and motivated to learn complex domains quickly (mortgages not required)
Ship with urgency and quality, understanding types enable fast movement without breaking things, balancing speed with craft
Have product sense, sweating details of interaction design and user experience, with opinions on what makes software feel good
Think end-to-end, comfortable across full stack from database schemas to API design to frontend components, understanding layer interdependencies
Balance shipping customer value with building maintainable systems, knowing when to surface deeper platform needs
Influence technical direction, set code patterns, mentor junior/mid-level engineers through communication and code review
Have strong opinions willing to defend in a culture of vigorous discussion

Responsibilities

Full-stack ownership: Work across entire stack (web components with Lit, React, GraphQL API, NestJS backend, TypeORM) and own features end-to-end
Build customer-facing interface for mortgage loan officers to manage loans and drive deals forward, caring about interface quality and user experience
Navigate ambiguity: Take least-defined problems (e.g., "float-to-lock workflow"), figure out backend integration, UI design, and work breakdown
Leverage platform tools from other teams to ship product quickly, surfacing needs for deeper solutions
Set technical direction, code patterns, and problem-solving approach to shape how the team builds, especially for junior/mid-level engineers
