A significant portion of the US population experiences treatable mental health conditions, yet the majority of providers do not accept insurance, making therapy unaffordable for many. As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with the provider EHR team to drive strategic initiatives focused on enhancing how providers deliver care and manage their schedules. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to Headway's mission of making mental health more accessible and affordable.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize product thinking, visual design, and system steward skills to collaborate with a dedicated and mission-driven cross-functional team in evolving our product vision and developing design solutions.
  • Contribute to and evolve Headway's design system (Helix) as we scale provider experiences.
  • Foster team culture, refine processes, strengthen foundations, and help grow a world-class startup design team.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Product Designer.
  • Proven track record of shipping complex and well-crafted software products.
  • Ability to articulate a compelling vision while executing at a world-class level, with a keen eye for detail to perfect even the smallest interactions.
  • Skill in balancing speed and craft, knowing when to move quickly and when to focus on meticulous detail.
  • Possess strong design taste, actively follow industry trends, recognize exceptional design, and inspire the team to achieve it.
  • Operate with a high degree of agency, ownership, and autonomy.
  • Motivated by our mission to solve critical challenges in mental healthcare, including access, affordability, and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation: The expected base pay range for this position is $183,600 - $216,000, determined by factors such as qualifications, experience, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for performance-based variable compensation and an equity grant.
