Requirements

  • 3-5 years of product design experience within B2B SaaS
  • 2+ years designing for growth (onboarding flows, activation loops, retention features, paywalls, etc.)
  • Portfolio showing experiments run, metrics moved, and iterations based on results
  • Experience working in fast-moving environments where you ship, learn, and ship again
  • Thinks like a PM: asks "what are we trying to learn?" and "how will we know if it worked?", articulates business case connected to metrics (activation rate, feature adoption, MRR)
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building conviction through small experiments
  • Balances craft with velocity: knows when scrappy prototype suffices vs. when polish matters, ships experiments (including failures) and learns from them, moves from hypothesis to testable design in days
  • Communicates like a pro: explains design thinking to engineers/PMs/execs without jargon, advocates for users while respecting business constraints, gives/receives feedback generously

Responsibilities

  • Ship experiments testing hypotheses around onboarding, feature adoption, or revenue-generating experiences (first 90 days)
  • Partner with PM and Engineer to identify friction points and design solutions moving key metrics (first 90 days)
  • Sync in and contribute to squad’s operating cadence: hypothesis → design → test → learn (first 90 days)
  • Build credibility with stakeholders by showing how design drives measurable outcomes (first 90 days)
  • Own end-to-end design process for growth initiatives across web and mobile
  • Run A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize user flows (signups, onboarding, activation, cross-selling)
  • Use qualitative insights (user interviews, support tickets) and quantitative data (analytics, experiment results) to inform design decisions
  • Create quick wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, matching fidelity to the question
  • Collaborate with 8-person Design team and dedicated UX Researcher while operating semi-autonomously within Growth
  • Help shape Roofr's experimentation culture by documenting learnings and advocating for bold ideas
