Requirements

Candidates should possess experience in designing, building, and scaling core platform components including EKS/ECS, GitHub-native CI/CD, OTEL observability, and cost monitoring. Experience with Terraform standards, OPA/Conftest, Helm, GitOps (Argo CD/Flux), autoscaling, canary releases, anomaly detection, rollback automation, and disaster recovery patterns is required. A strong understanding of cloud-native platforms, security, scalability, and resilience is essential. The role also requires the ability to lead by example, mentor engineers, and drive automation.

Responsibilities

The Senior Platform Engineer will own and evolve Fetch's platform strategy, building standardized, cloud-native platforms to enhance developer velocity, security, scalability, and resilience. Responsibilities include designing paved paths, mentoring engineers, and delivering automation to reduce operational friction. Key initiatives will involve advancing multi-region resiliency, observability standardization, cost anomaly monitoring, and testing in production. The engineer will architect and enforce Terraform standards, manage Kubernetes applications via Helm, and implement GitOps for progressive delivery. They will also deliver self-service infrastructure, opinionated deployment patterns, and automation to enable faster, more confident team deployments, and lead the implementation of advanced reliability and resilience patterns.
