Responsibilities

Lead and mentor health center Medical Directors, including supervising them, aligning priorities, providing feedback, supporting team management, communicating updates, mastering data-driven practices, reviewing quality dashboards, implementing improvement initiatives, and providing managed care guidance
Interview, hire, and retain providers throughout the region
Develop physician leadership in providers, building a pipeline of internal clinical leaders skilled in problem solving, communication, conflict resolution, value-based care, and collaboration
Support organizational strategy by providing input on market management and organization-wide projects, joining committees for Medical Management, Care Management, Quality Improvement, Utilization Management, Network Management, Health Plan Management, Documentation/Risk Adjustment, Clinical Compliance & Policy Development
Represent Oak Street Health to external partners (e.g., payers, providers), creating relationships and partnerships that support the mission and economics
Supervise the interdisciplinary Complex Care program as part of Population Health
Partner with the Regional Vice President to achieve operational and clinical excellence in hospital admissions, quality, patient satisfaction, clinician satisfaction, and medical cost
Provide feedback on the clinical model as a key thought partner
Report to the Executive Medical Director for the region
