Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with simulation software like ANSYS, Creo Simulate, and Creo Mechanism
  • Expert level proficiency in CAD systems such as Creo (Drafting & Modelling) and data management systems such as Windchill
  • Proficient in Concept Development, Prototyping, and Benchmark Testing
  • Well-versed in 1D, 2D, and 3D Tolerance Stacks
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in Finite Element Analysis for structural studies using ANSYS or equivalent software, with expertise in non-linear simulations desired
  • Apply strong understanding of structural mechanics, material properties, and mechanical behavior
  • Perform Mechanism Design and Analysis using Creo-Mechanism module or equivalent software
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis to improve/validate product designs, and design plastic and metal components considering DFM, DFA, and Cost
  • Apply expertise in Robust Modeling and Detailing practices following ASME guidelines
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and contribute positively to the engineering community
  • Own & Lead Predictive engineering activities from start to finish, assess project deliverables and critical milestones, working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary functions
  • Provide optimal workable solutions for design problems and improve efficiency of the team
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to determine and develop effective solutions
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members; review their work and support their professional growth; may lead projects or manage specific processes
  • Apply project management skills to plan, schedule, and monitor project activities efficiently
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of product development and its cross-functional aspects
  • Support the Product Development Team by applying relevant medical device standards and regulations to new products under development
