Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Proven experience in mechanical design or application engineering within the subsea oil & gas sector
  • Strong understanding of Subsea Production Systems, with detailed knowledge of Subsea Christmas Trees, Tubing Hangers and their associated tooling
  • Proficient in the use of engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, MathCAD, Teamcenter)
  • Experience of requirement management and interface management, and proficiency in the use of relevant software (e.g. DOORs, SmartPDF)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Leading mechanical engineering input for subsea tenders, studies, and early engagement activities
  • Interpreting client specifications and translate them into compliant, cost-effective technical solutions
  • Developing and reviewing mechanical designs, layouts, and technical documentation for subsea systems and components
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, manufacturing, sourcing, and project engineering
  • Providing technical support to commercial teams during bid preparation and client presentations
  • Ensuring solutions meet applicable industry standards (API, ISO), internal design practices, and customer requirements
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team
  • Supporting risk assessments, design reviews, and lessons learned activities
